One Day (poem)

"Some simple tasks we do below

Will one day be no more,

For heaven won't require them

For what God has in store.

There'll  be no need for scrubbing

There'll be no clothes to fold,

Cause we won't need a clothesline

As we walk the streets of gold.

Some days earth seems so tiresome

Our labors wear us down

But we won't take them with us-

We'll trade them for a crown.

One day we'll see our loved ones

We never more will roam

And won't our hearts be joyful

When the Savior takes us home."
