Throughout the halls of time
A question rings for all.
Many things and people ask it;
Everyone will hear it's call.
Will you live for me?
The doors are all lined up,
All we need is to walk through.
You cannot see the outcome
Or the payment that is due.
Will you live for me?
This door is labeled "family";
Responsibility calls.
Another is labeled "honor";
Placing duty above all.
Will you live for me?
There's one witht he word "religion",
It's a sanctimonious way.
On the other side "Tradition"-
"What to choose?" I say!
Will you live for me?
"Science", "Education", "Position",
So many doors to choose.
What's on the other side?
What's to gain or lose?
Will you live for me?
What's there? An unattractive door
That's at the back of time's hall.
I can barely read the title
"God's will above it all".
Will you live for me?
A payment must be made
For whichever door I choose,
But this door has a little sign,
"I gave my life for you!"
Will you live for me?
