Sometimes the devil doesn't tempt us with evil; sometimes he allures us with good, distracts us with obligations, confuses us with compromise, or hinders us with business to keep us from that which is best- service to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Remember, the devil always offers his best, before Christ will offer His will for your life.

Praline Cake recipe

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups almond flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup dark brown sugar
4 large eggs
1 cup milk
2 tsp vanilla extract

Mix together the flours, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a mixing bowl. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugars together until well blended. Add in the eggs one at a time, beating them into the mixture. Now, add the vanilla and mix in.
Slowly combine the mixtures in your two bowls until mixed together well.
Bake in a greased 9 X 13 pan at 350* for 25 to 30 minutes, or until done in the center. This mixture will fluff up, so you may want to put a baking sheet underneath.

PRALINE ICING:
3/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
4 large eggs yolks
1 large can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups walnuts, chopped

Melt the butter in a sauce pan. Remove from heat and stir in the sugars.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg yolk and evaporated milk. Then mix that in with the butter sugar in the sauce pan.
Cook this mixture over medium heat, stirring continually, until thickened like caramel- 15 to 20 minutes.
Remove the sauce pan from heat and stir in the vanilla and walnuts.

This cake is amazing warm or cooled!
