We recently had the pleasure of having Bro. David Spurgeon and his wife in our church. Bro. Spurgeon was a military man and a member of a motorcycle gang known as The Outlaws before he came to know Christ as his Savior. During this time in his life, he had gotten many tattoos.
After his salvation, he was married to his present wife.
He recalled an account of when they had some relatives over between services. Bro. Spurgeon had only his undershirt on and his arms were exposed showing all the tattoos from his past.
As the day wore on, a young girl came up to Mrs. Spurgeon and said, "I don't like your dad!" speaking about her husband, Bro. Spurgeon. "He's loud and he had stickers all over him!"
I'm a King James Bible believing sinner saved by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ! I was raised by a good mother and I went to a KJV church growing up. I am a mother of 5 lovely children and am married to a crazy Cajun for 20 years now! I think bow ties are cool, and grey hairs are like tinsle for your head. I admire those who do right no matter the cost, and wish to avoid those who would compromise the truth.
Sometimes the devil doesn't tempt us with evil; sometimes he allures us with good, distracts us with obligations, confuses us with compromise, or hinders us with business to keep us from that which is best- service to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Remember, the devil always offers his best, before Christ will offer His will for your life.
