Did you know that time had a beginning? That time had a creator?
Did you know there was something before time itself?
There was more than one creator. In fact, there are three. These three left their fingerprints all over their creation.
Romans 1:20- For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Sun has light rays, heat rays, and actinic rays. Humans have a body, soul, and spirit. Molecules have a proton, electron, and neutron. I could go on, but I believe you get the point.
Before time began, however, these creators got together and discussed creation. The possibilities of world with time- what could happen if things went wrong. And, these creators came up with an understanding- a secret agreement, if you will, of what would happen if things went badly.
Ephesians 3:9- And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
Once this understanding was in place, four words began time itself- Let there be light.
The brilliant flash that shone out from nothingness marked the beginning of time, the beginning of creation, the beginning of the known story.
As time passed, the very possibility that the creators talked about came to pass.
The thought of rebellion entered in. The acting upon the thought soon followed. And, the start of the downfall of creation came into existence.
There was hope, of course, that of the two being the one would be willing to fulfill the secret agreement if he was presented with the choice. But, alas, it was not to be. For he, too, chose to follow the actions of the first.
The creators called this sin.
James 1:15- Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
The sin came not from the fruit itself, which resembled a grape of sorts. But, the sin was in the action. As the thought became a reality, sin tore through the humans first. Changing the very life force that flowed through them. This life force kept them alive while slowly aging and killing them.
Mankind's body was flooded with blood. This was a new existence of what the creators hoped would never come into being. As the flesh turned pink in humans, the inky blackness of sin flowed down consuming everything within creation. Animals, too, were effected by this blood curse. Nature could not escape the destruction that it brought.
Romans 8:22- For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
The perfect world was now tainted with evil. Darkness filled the heart, mind, and land. And, the consequences of this would be seen when the creator came to inform mankind of his punishment- death.
Job 7:1- Is there not an appointed time to man upon earth? are not his days also like the days of an hireling?
Each generation would now be tainted by this curse as it passed from father to child. As the procreation of life continued, there would be no escape from the blood that flowed through the veins of the future generations. Nor, would a cure be found among all creation.
Blood curses cannot be cured by anything other than blood. Evil blood must be paid for by innocent blood. But, where was this to be found?
The blood flowing out of the innocent lamb must have been a complete shock to creation. Never before had something died. Blood was now necessary to keep the body alive, but it would also slowly condemn the body to death. Each time evil was committed, more innocent blood would be spilled.
There is much more that happened as time progressed, but I shall skip to the parts that are most relevant to you- the reader.
After much time had passed, the creators decided it was time for their secret agreement to be fulfilled.
Matthew 13:35- That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.
One of the creators took on a bodily form and became human. It would have a difficult thing if the creators hadn't come up with their secret plan before hand. Blood would be passed through the father.
Romans 5:12- Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
For the creator to remain innocent, and yet still be human, he would need a human mother but a divine, innocent father.
Creation marveled at this. Starts lighted the news to the humans. Angelic beings heralded his entrance into the dark world. But, as time passed people forgot.
After a few years, this human creator went into a garden to speak with the others.
"It's time for the agreement to be fulfilled." The creators said one to another.
The human creator knew the torment and the shame that would come upon him for this agreement to be completed. "Is there any other way?"
"None." came the reply.
Psalm 119:126- It is time for thee, LORD, to work: for they have made void thy law.
The human creator thought back to before time began and remembered what had been spoken. He knew if things went wrong that innocent blood would be the required payment. He knew that of all his creation he was the the only one who could possibly end this curse.
It was the agreement made before time began. His innocent blood would be shed to pay the price for sin.
"I'll do it." he stated as he thought with disdain at what would occur, "I'll complete the agreement."
Humans gathered with the powers of darkness to bring the creator to his end. The darkness thought that if they could kill the creator then time would be theirs to rule. No one could interfere with its reign.
As innocent blood flowed, the creator poured out all the wrath and anger that had been building through time for the evil that marred the land.
A crown of thorns from corrupted nature would pierce the brow where the beginning of evil took place- the payment for the thought that began sin.
A whip of leather mixed with animal bone and broken glass would slice through his body where the effects of sin took hold.
Hateful men would pull the hair from his beard and the blood would gush from where men spewed their evil words.
And, then the iron spikes would be driven through the hands and feet; blood spilled for every action that men committed and every wicked place that men traversed.
Daniel 2:22- He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.
Innocent blood flowed for every lie, every theft, every murder, every selfish thought and deed. It would all be paid for as the creators looked down from heaven on one of their own who so willingly accepted the shame that was required.
As time passed by in hours, he paid for millenia of wickedness. Nature itself was ashamed of what was happening to its creator. The sun refused to shine. The ground quaked. But mankind appeared completely oblivious that they were murdering their creator.
When the price was paid in full, he cried his response to the secret agreement- "It is finished."
Leviticus 17:11- For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
He should have died long before, but it wasn't his blood that kept him alive. It was his desire to fulfill the agreement. And, once every aspect had been taken care of he allowed his spirit to depart.
Darkness reveled in their perceived victory. The creator is dead.
But, time has a way of bringing understanding. Three days passed and the true end of the agreement became clear.
The creator wasn't staying dead.
Romans 16:25-27- Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.
As nature responded again to the presence of the creator, He stepped from the tomb. Everything that was required was presented before the other two creators. The three now saw the secret agreement completed.
How long did it take the creators to come up with this plan? How long did they reason before time began? The plan had to include grace and justice. It had to satisfy righteousness and mercy. It had to be completely binding and yet give total free choice.
The first man made the choice to sin. He brought damnation on everything the creators made.
But, the creators expected this. They made a plan for redemption before time began. A secret of which time itself was not aware.
I Corinthians 2:7-8- But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
And, now, the secret would become the crowning piece of time.
Isaiah 30:8- Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever:
One day, time will end. Perhaps it will end for only a moment, but it will end.
Everything in time will stand before the creators and give an account of what they did with their portion of the time granted them. What goodness did they accomplish? What evil did they commit?
Did they accept the covenant provided by the secret agreement?
Ecclesiastes 12:14- For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
Time is a precious commodity that only flows one way. You cannot stop it. You cannot escape it. And, the same is true for the reckoning of what you did with it.
Psalms 25:14- The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.
You have a story made up of time.
Ecclesiastes 3:17- I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.
I'm a King James Bible believing sinner saved by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ! I was raised by a good mother and I went to a KJV church growing up. I am a mother of 5 lovely children and am married to a crazy Cajun for 20 years now! I think bow ties are cool, and grey hairs are like tinsle for your head. I admire those who do right no matter the cost, and wish to avoid those who would compromise the truth.
Sometimes the devil doesn't tempt us with evil; sometimes he allures us with good, distracts us with obligations, confuses us with compromise, or hinders us with business to keep us from that which is best- service to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Remember, the devil always offers his best, before Christ will offer His will for your life.
