Why is it that we want to treat God like he is our Math Teacher instead of treating Him like our History Teacher?
Let me explain - think about a high school math class: What does the teacher put on the board everyday? PROBLEMS!
What is the math textbook filled with? PROBLEMS!
What do student have for homework? PROBLEMS!
AND what is the goal with all of these problems? SOLVE THEM!
In contrast, think about a high school history class. What does the teacher discuss in class? FACTS!
What is the history textbook filled with? FACTS!
What do students memorize in preparation for quizzes? FACTS! and how do we approach history facts?
Do we try to somehow "solve" them? Do we try to change Independence Day from July 4th to Aug 4th?
Of course not. We know that we can't "solve" facts. When it comes to facts, our goal is to accept them, understand them and learn from them.
Think about this: Everything is history to God... He said, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last."(Rev 22:13 KJV)
There is nothing about what God has done or will do in our lives that needs to be "solved." God wants us to learn the "FACTS" and accept HIM, understand HIM and learn from HIM...
Jeremiah 29:11- For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
